With half term on its way, keep the grandchildren entertained with this fun activity

Half term is creeping up, but if you’ve run out of ideas, don’t panic, help is on hand.

Did you know how easy it is to make your own pasta? Watch the video above, get the kids involved and whip up a tasty lunch for the whole family. Whether you have a weaning little one or a budding chef, a simple pasta recipe will please everyone’s tastebuds. And if you don’t have all the utensils, swap the pasta machine for a rolling pin.

Today’s grandparents are more actively involved than ever – and cooking with your grandchildren is a fun activity to try out. They can learn how to cook, see how their food is made, and have fun getting involved (and messy) together.

Piccolo’s pasta recipes have been passed down from generation to generation. The Mediterranean approach to nutrition and lifestyle is one which champions honest and natural food which has been lovingly prepared. Piccolo believe that the way you eat is just as important for your health as what’s on your plate.

Their recipes have all been inspired by their Founder’s Nonna. You can see her cooking pasta with little Juliet, the Founder’s daughter, in the video above.

From learning basic cooking skills to using pasta in sensory play, you can help develop your little one’s love of food. And if you need a bit of inspiration, Piccolo have put together this oh-so-simple, Mediterranean-inspired Sweet Potato Bolognese. Pair it with scrummy ditalini pasta for a perfect meal.

If you’re short on time this half term but still want to try out Piccolo’s vegetable-packed Sweet Potato Bolognese, you can find it online and in store at Tesco.
