Helen, mum to 2-year-old Isabella and 3-week-old Poppy, reviews Tesco Soleil
I would absolutely recommend the Soleil Kids Waterplay Sun Protection Spray with SPF50! It was very easy to apply to a wriggly toddler as it wasn’t too thick and one spray was enough to cover a large area of skin. My little one liked that it was a spray as it meant she could help apply it to her legs and feet without emptying a whole squeezy bottle! This suntan lotion has everything I would look for in a sun cream for my little one: a high sun protection factor, 5-star UVA protection and water resistance, so I felt reassured that my child was well protected.
The Soleil Moisturising Sun Protection Lotion with SPF30 left my skin feeling moisturised and glowing. It glided on and absorbed quickly without being tacky or sticky. It doesn't run out of the bottle making a mess everywhere, which means you can get the right amount. The fragrance is fresh – perfect for those hot summer days – and it’s on the more affordable end of the scale too.
Heather, mum to 3-year-old Oscar, and 14-month-old Sienna, reviews Garnier Ambre Solaire
I normally look for a suntan lotion with a high level of protection, one that’s easy to apply and one that feels light on my baby’s skin – the Garnier Ambre Solaire Baby in the Shade Lotion with SPF50 does just that. It smells just like summer and I like the convenience of the handbag size too – overall a very good suntan lotion.
The Garnier Ambre Solaire Dry Mist sun lotion worked really well for me. Even though the Garnier sun lotion is a dry mist, I felt really protected. As well as having a refreshing smell, it was really easy to apply. It’s also non-greasy, not messy, and felt like a light moisturiser on my skin. I would recommend it as good quality sun protection.
Robyn, mum to 1-year-old Shay, reviews Nivea Sun
We applied the Nivea Sun Baby Lotion with SPF50 to my little one at around 9am, topped it up every few hours and by the end of the day, his skin looked like he hadn’t been in the sun. The texture was less sticky and greasy than other sun creams I have used and it rubbed in well. I felt that his skin was 100 percent protected and felt really comfortable with him being in the sun. I even gave the Nivea Sun Baby Lotion to one of the mums at toddler group and she’s been using it on her little one every day since.
I was really happy using the Nivea Sun Moisturising Sun Spray with SPF30. In the last two weeks, I have been in and out of the sun, and have always felt protected. For me, applying it was really easy – just a few sprays went a long way. It applied smoothly and evenly on my skin and it had a nice but not overpowering fragrance. It’s a thumbs up from me!
