Packed with fruit and vegetable goodness and natural flavours this also works well as a smoothie for you – simply thin down by adding milk or water

Ingredients

  • ½ ripe avocado
  • 1 ripe kiwi fruit, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 25g baby spinach, rinsed
  • 5-6 fresh mint leaves
  • A little of your usual milk

Method

  1. Using a sharp knife, cut the avocado in half lengthways then twist to separate. Remove the stone then use a spoon to scoop the flesh into a food processor or bowl if using a hand blender.
  2. Add the kiwi fruit, spinach and mint leaves and blend until smooth, adding a little water or the usual milk you give to your baby to loosen the mixture slightly. Serve some straight away and refrigerate the remaining for up to 2 days in an airtight container.

TIP

If you’re turning this into a smoothie for yourself, simply pour water or your favourite milk in as you blend.
